“An apple a day keeps the doctor away”

As the title implies live 99 years and beyond is literally possible with a wonderful fruit called apple. I am a foodie. I eat a lot and to stay healthy I eat an apple everyday. It is indeed a very good fruit to keep your health stable without any ups and downs in any of your normal body functions.

Apples don’t grow all over the world but it is readily available in your nearest supermarket in most countries.

Today I am going to share with you all some facts about apples and why you need to start eating an apple everyday to live a long life.

Apples contain an antioxidant called QUERCETIN which is powerful and protects our brain cells from degeneration. We should always eat an apple with the skin on to get the maximum disease fighting compounds.

Apples have long been called as the nature’s toothbrush. It doesn’t really cleanse the teeth but biting and chewing one stimulates the gums.

The sweetness of the apple prompts an increased flow of saliva which reduces tooth decay by lowering the level of bacteria in the mouth.

Adults who eat apples are 37 percent less likely to have hypertension, according to a recent food database analysis. So it helps in preventing high blood pressure.

Apples are a really good source of energy which adds in the benefits of helping you lose weight. Apples are packed with fibre and water which will make you stomach want less food. So most likely if you eat at least 3 apples a day, you will lose weight pretty soon.

Apples are rich in flavonoids and antioxidants which will help in preventing heart diseases. They are low in calories and high in soluble fibre pectin which helps lower artery damaging LDL blood cholesterol levels. The soluble fibre also slows the digestion of food and the entry of glucose into the bloodstream. It means people who eat at least one apple everyday will 28 percent be less likely to develop diabetes than those who ate none.
