Stop Using the Scale, Start getting your Body Fat TestedsteemCreated with Sketch.

As I monitored the body stats of my each Bengal Cheerleader, as well as, my clients I can see change that tell a story.

I am here in the top picture with NFL Bengal Cheerleader Abby Deweld. As you can tell she is in great shape and her body fat and lean mass reflect that.

I utilize the 9 point Body Stat Pinch System to properly measure my clients for their program, including the entire Bengal Cheerleading Team.

As a coach it provides precise insight of a client’s fitness level.

For example, if I notice muscle loss and increased body fat this translates to a variety of factors.

    1. These include a client may be doing too much cardio and not enough lifting.  
    2. Additionally, they may not eat enough calories or protein to protect against muscle loss. 
    3. If I see a decrease in body fat but an increase in lean mass I know they are on point.

After years of doing body fat stats I am an authority on appropriate questions to ask as well as how to create the Whole Picture to assess the entire situation.

Using body stats is also a good way to motivate and help keep momentum. Clients get discouraged if they don't see progress.

Body Fat testing shows progress the scale can not. It is so exciting for me as a coach to see women change their whole mood when they realize their hard work has paid off even though they didn't see it on the scale.

You may not be losing weight but could be losing body fat and gaining muscle.

An individual can be at an ideal weight; however they may remain what we in the industry refer to as skinny fat.

This translates to a client who carries an unhealthy amount of body fat, despite not being able to actually see it on the scale or in the mirror.

While not apparent on the outside, internally, the stored body fat tends to pool around vital organs.

This is a serious issue in particular for women over 40.

“Be a TRANSFORMED version of yourself not a shrunken version”

Just focusing on Weight Loss just shows up as a shrunken version of yourself, but Fat Loss shows up as a transformed you. I love this info graphic I found online that visually shows this.

Muscle weighs more than fat so the scale can stay the same but visually you will look totally different. Fat is lumpy and chunky, muscle is Smooth and well Defined.

Imagine not having the stress associated with a focus on the scale.

The only disadvantage to this situation is to not have a trainer skilled and knowledgeable on the 9 point Body Fat Pinch System. This test is a very affordable $20.

Schedule a follow up visit to get re-measured. This is an unbeatable incentive to stay on track with your fitness regimen.

The more lean mass (muscle) you have the more calories you burn.

No need to fear lifting ladies, it's the fountain of youth because it helps you keep your body shape.

For those of you who are nearing or are in menopause....lifting is how you defy it.

Lift, Lift, Lift......and then lift some more ladies 💪
