The Problems which A Pregnant Woman Encounter ¦- THE PROBLEMS OF PREGNANCY
The problematic situation of pregnancy ranges from the soft irritating stage to life threatening conditions.
The good thing is that the life threatening ones are now very rare because of the development in the general health of the public and improved in social situations. Nevertheless, the more women delay child bearing, they more they are at risk of disorders associated with increased in age, such as ; Placenta praevia, malignancy and issues of obesity. In other words, it is very important to go for regular check up ( Antenatal checks) in the early stage of the pregnancy.
This checks helps to prevent many complications and the problems that follows, add to well-timed diagnosis and treatment, this also enables pregnant women to have a good relationship with midwives, obstetricians and health professionals who would now help them to have easy child bearing.
PAIN IN THE ABDOMEN DURING PREGNANCY
Abdominal ache is a very mutual complaint amongst pregnant women. Most women suffer it at some point of the pregnancy and would bring the problem before the midwives in other to be able to differentiate between a normal [ e.g. Mild indigestion or muscle stretching], the pathological but not dangerous [e.g. Degeneration of a fibriod] and the dangerously pathological which requires urgent refferral to the appropriate medical practitioner for immediate treatment [such as: ectopic pregnancy or appendictis].
However, abdominal pain is one of many systoms and not necessarily the overriding one.
Feeling sick in the morning
Feeling sick in the morning is found in the early stage of pregnancy. It is very common in most pregnant women. Around 90% of women out of 100% do experience it. Some do feel sick [nausea] or being sick i.e by vomiting or they feel both. This bad experience starts about 6-7weeks of pregnancy for some women, but they eventually get better by week 14. It varies amongst women, in some pregnant women, it's very gentle, while other might have a very harsh version of morning sickness which is called Hyperemesis gravidarum.
Difficulty In Excreting
This is also called constipation. It is normal in pregnancy. This is the process of excreting hard faeces from the(stools) system, it is normally painful in some cases. Constipation also causes abdominal distress.
Faeces are harden and this is for the reason of the faeces being drier than normal. This is caused by not drinking much water. The stool is being passed through the bowel and the transit time are different. However, when the stool are in the bowel, they began to dry out because the body absorb water from them. The more time the stool spends in the bowel, the more the body system will take back water and this makes the stool harder and even drier.
The faeces passes via the bowel very moderately if there's a defect in the food that is being taken into the body to bulk it up. When one is pregnant, the bowel becomes more relaxed and works more slowly however. This is due to the uterus and hormones putting pressure on the bowels.
Exercise helps the bowels to work very well and faster as the abdominal muscles helo stimulate the bowel. The abdominal muscles are really stretched and this makes them not to do the work well.
