Knee pain can be caused by a sudden injury, like if we climb up a stair or walking up an incline. An overuse injury causes inflammation, or by an underlying condition such as arthritis.
My mom recently told us that she has terrible pain on her knees for 3 months now, she misses doing things that she can do before like attending to her garden of flowers and vegetables. She used to visit all of her children every week, and this knee pain makes her heart broke not to visit and see her children and grandchildren.
She never complains about severe pain in her knee before and that makes her worry is what if she cannot cure this knee pain anymore because she is too old now, and she cannot visit her grandchildren as often as she wants.
The pain started when she went to our province accompanied by her younger sister who just recently had a vacation in the country. Being missed the Philippines so much, they made a lot of stroll around the town. So, her knee pain is caused by overuse.
We suggested her to not take any painkillers because though her knee is sometimes painful but the pain is still bearable, and there’s plenty of remedies that she can do at home.
Many people take painkillers if they feel knee pain, but these drugs are not safe. This led to an FDA warning in 2015, regarding an increased risk of stroke and heart attack. Being such a common remedy, many individuals do not fully understand the risks of it.
Try these natural remedies to relieve knee pain.

Don’t rest too much. Too much rest can weaken your muscles, which can worsen joint pain. Find an exercise program that is safe for your knees and stick with it
