CONSIDER OWNING A PET

 Hey what’s up my fellow steemians. 

Today I am going to prove to you the reason why you should own a pet through its benefits. In a family set up, children tend to have a special and comforting relationship with their pets. Scientific studies have shown that children with pets have higher self-esteem and improved social skills. They also have nurturing skills, more sympathetic and caring. There is also evidence that pet ownership may help to develop non-verbal communication.  

 Family unity

 A pet in a family provides  focus for fun activities and friendly conversation. This leads to family harmony with the relaxation and relief from stress provided by the pet companionship yielding immersurable health benefits to the parents. Pet owners have proved to have a lower risk of cardiovascular disease, less complaints and seek medical help less often as compared to ‘petless’ guys.  

 Exercise activators 

We obviously know the benefits of daily exercise to our health. However, it is one thing to know and another different thing to wake up and exercise. This is where a pet can be beneficial. If you won’t get up off the couch to exercise yourself, there’s always the chance that you’ll be more motivated to go for a healthy stroll if you’re walking your pooch. It’s a win-win; your dog gets his exercise and so do you. 

Scientific research have shown that through brisk walking, pregnant women who owned a pet had a higher probability of achieving their recommended half an hour of activities per day.   

  Additionally, the low risk exercise, dog walking can be of help to women who may find it difficult to meet their exercise targets and therefore, they are kept active and fit during the pregnancy period.
