How doctors can help you reduce weight
The doctor can help you to reduce your weight and enjoy the benefits of a healthy body. If you are overweight then you are more likely to suffer from heart disease, stroke or type-2 diabetes. Those who weigh more than they usually take more energy than they spend on physical work. For weight loss, we should make long lasting, achievable and realistic changes in our diet and physical work patterns. If you have already tried to change your diet and physical activity, but still do not reduce weight or feel better, you should consult a doctor or a nutritionist.
Measure your weight
This means measuring your body weight and height, which can be calculated as your Body Mass Index (BMI). Through BMI you can know that the weight of your height is healthy for you. An adult healthy BMI should be between 18.5 to 24.9. If BMI is 25 or more then you need to understand that your weight is high.
Measure your waist
Indicates that your waist circumference is a risk for your type-2 diabetes or heart disease. So your doctor can measure your waist.
Other tests
The doctor can check your blood pressure tests and other tests such as blood tests. It tests whether you have a weight related to any type of problem.
To achieve healthy weight
To reduce excess weight, you need to change your diet, diet and physical activity levels. The doctor can help you estimate the level of your current diet and physical labor. This allows you to set realistic goals for weight loss.
Your diet
You can keep a dietary diary to keep track of what you are eating throughout the week. The doctor can use this diary to diagnose your diet and advise you to change certain foods.
Exercise
A work-diary can help you calculate your physical work. In some cases the doctor may advise you to stay after the pedometer, so that you can understand the level of your physical work by calculating the number of doctors walking on your foot.
Setting goals
After measuring your diet, diet, and physical labor levels, a doctor can help you with some general changes in your lifestyle. These changes should be slightly and those who want to lose weight, they will decide about these changes. These little changes will lead you towards your goal. Depending on your health condition, your doctor may advise you to do different types of exercise.
Weight loss medication
If you bring changes in your diet and physical activity, but fail to reduce the weight, you can tell the doctor to help you with some medications, which can help you. Only BMIs of 30 or 28 are used in medicine. If you are overweight because of any illness, such as type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure, it is said to use medicines to control these diseases.
Weight Loss Surgery
If life and drugs do not work, the doctor may ask you to do surgery for weight loss. According to the law of medical science, surgery is done only for weight reduction if BMI is at least 40 or 35, or if there is more weight due to type 2 diabetes or any disease like high blood pressure.
Weight loss for people with BMI 40 or more can be very difficult and surgery may be an effective way for these people. However, it is a long process that has some health risks.
