Exercise was very popular in 1960's.It's also in this year that pedometer was developed.Pedometer is a device that measures the distance a person travels by walking.Researchers from a Kyushu University of Health and Welfare studied the benefits in walking 10,000 step exercise.Researchers found out that ,a normal person can walk for approximately 3,500-5,000 steps a day.In addition,increasing the number of 10,000 step walk could help lower down coronary heart disease studies find.
Reseachers proved over the long years that walking has lot of benefits not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well.American Heart Foundation and the World Health Organization recommended that,walking has many good benefits to people.However,some health experts question the credibility of this 10,000 step exercise if it's valid or has any scientific basis.A famous physiologist,David Bassett said that,walking in 10,000 step a day makes you feel okay.He added that there's no clear evidence about this facts.
Professor Catrine Tudor-Locke of the Center for Personalized Health Monitoring also said that 10,000 is just a number used in benchmark. Therefore,the results were not accurate because there were only people who has been tested.
But as for me, I would still suggest that,walking is still a best exercise.It can lesson your stress at work.It revitalizes you physically,emotionally and spirituality as a person.It's for the person to decide if he/she will walk or not.I think the very best thing to do is that,you have a well balanced- diet,eat well and sleep a lot.Taking enough rest is great!
