Week 1 Results: Clean Diet Results vs Symptoms of Die off
As we continue our journey to full health, we are still compiling and comparing the data to help us learn and grown from our process of clearing candida here @gardenofeden.
Today, we would like to share some of the more interesting points about the diet we were adhering to on the 4 days on turpentine vs the 3 days we are off each week, and how that correlates to any die off symptoms we experienced.
We decided to compare just a few of our Eden Knights since it is such a large amount of data for everyone. We share results for everyone on all data points once our cleanse is complete.
Here is a list for the foods allowed on the cleanse:
- Fruit Smoothie (Any Variety)
- Green Juice (Alone or in something else)
- Coffee
- Tea
- Raw Fruits
- Cooked Fruits
- Raw Veggies
- Cooked Veggies
- Eggs
- Quinoa
- Potatoes
- Rice
- Wild Plants/Herbs
The anti-candida diet generally corresponds to an alkaline diet:

Here are the foods to avoid overall during the candida cleanse (but most people here still consume at least some of them on our 3 days off turpentine):
- Meat
- Dairy
- Wheat
- Processed Foods (anything from a package)
- Non fruit sugars
- Dried Fruits
- Nuts
- Oils
- Avocado
- Seeds
- Beans
- Alcohol
- Soda, Energy Drinks, & Other carbonated beverages
This is the breakdown of Eden Knight 1 and Eden Knight 2 and which foods they consumed for the entire first week. It is easy to see that the majority of the diet was the same.
Knight 1 choose to eat some meat and dairy during our three days off, and Knight 2 had more overt fats like nuts, seeds, avocados. Each has its own pitfalls because meat is hard to digest, dairy is an inflammatory, and overt fats slow down your ability to clear candida.
Just a little background for you about these two people:
Eden Knight 1:
- Really good overall health
- Great mental posture
- Carries a large amount of responsibility in the community
- Strong emotional stability
- Physically fit
- Does not exercise regularly
- The last few years has not been too overly concerned with what is consumed in thier diet
- Age is mid 30's
- Started out with a lower urine pH test in the low 6.0 range
Eden Knight 2:
- Good overall health
- Carries a large amount of responsibility in the community
- Strong emotional stability
- Has some past emotional trauma they are resolving
- Physically fit
- Regularly practices yoga
- Has a very clean diet overall with minimal amounts of animal products
- Age is early 30's
- This person consistently had higher pH readings for almost 7.0 range since the start of the cleanse
- Has more stored toxins in the body from mercury fillings
Now what is really interesting is that at first glance you would think both these people would probably have minimal die off symptoms; however, the results were very different indeed. Just like above, Eden Knight 1 is in red and Eden Knight 2 is in orange.
Eden Knight 2 clearly had many more die off symptoms than Eden Knight 1. There is a lot of speculation that could come from these findings, but each person's medical history, specifically past illness and toxic exposure, plays a large role in what exactly is dying off during the cleanse. Obviously the more toxins you have in your body, the more your body will have to expel. That makes it hard to gauge what kind of reaction you will have when cleansing.
If Eden Knight 2 had a worse diet and did not take the active steps towards health already, then her symptoms likely would have been much more uncomfortable.
Keep following our progress to get more insight into how to minimize your effects when clearing candida, and just general knowledge about an overall way to improve health!
We hope this will inspire you to do additional research and work towards the best possible health for yourself!

Very interesting data. I would like to see a lot more posts with this data and comparison. I like the fact that a lot of this was similar yet the die off symptoms were quite a bit different.
It Would also be great to see at a comparison to two people that have very different charts.
Yes the comparisons between individuals are really interesting! We have so many people and so many data points that we can be doing more of these side by sides.
Get on it!

I am so glad I just found your blog while looking through the "hot" section! I have been thinking that a few months down the road, I would use social accountability thru Steemit to give up soda and/or tobacco. I want to develop a bit more of a following and personal connections for added accountability before attempting this.
That said, I'm not waiting til than to begin making better health choices and I feel that your blog will prove extremely helpful with that. Upvoted and followed for more, thanks again!
This is great to hear!
We share this information to help people and we are recently stepping it up even more by providing people an opportunity not just for high quality information but to get INVOLVED with it with us through Steemit!
Awesome, grateful you found us too, @sixersfed!! So glad we can provide real value and inspiration for you & that you want to invest in your health!
It's a lot easier to make lifestyle changes with the support of a group for accountability as you say as well as for moral support and guidance from those who have gone before you. We have so much to share and really want everyone to be as happy and healthy as possible!
Good for you! I gave soda up already, and am drinking more Flavored waters (Adding slices of #apple or kiwi etc)
Want to mention a free tool - called Goal-buddy.com - it helps keep you accountable, and it enables one to get real detailed in their #Goals (obviously, it does have a "Buddy" system) - You set it up the way you WANT it.. it just motivates a person & helps to keep on Track.
That's my tip 4 today.
Great tip @janashby
Water is the most important part of good health besides good air and deep breathes!
Great work @gardenofeden it is said that health is wealth but I guess that needs to be rephrased to good knowledge is both wealth and health. You did a comprehensive job in not only listing out the foods but itemizing them in a manner one can easily understand. Thanks a lot.
agreed!
You're welcome, we're really happy to provide benefit for you, @jyzaza! We are passionate about health and encourage everyone to engage real thrival!
Thanks for the detailed report, I see the results from you and I think you are on the right path to a healthy figure. Waiting for news from you @gardenofeden
Thanks for checking in on what's going on, @serkagan! Everyone is seeing improvements, and it has only been 2 full weeks - and only a little more than half that time was actually spent "on" the protocol!
Wow the diet is similar to Dr Sebi and Arnold Ehret I have been moving slowly to an alkaline diet over the past 2 years. I lost a lot of weight in the beginning so I go for a more balanced diet although I don't each flesh of anytime or diary I eat a lot more nuts and avocados to stop me from being to lean. Thanks so much for the post love, light and healing @gardenofeden
That's great to hear, congratulations on your health, @sheapureness! It is very well established that a plant based diet is going to improve the body, but of course there are many factors that go into a person choosing their dietary preferences. May you continue to get better and better!!
what about FODMAP?
It seems like there are always new buzzwords to keep up on....there are all kinds of ways to complicate health/nutrition and it really seems to make it more difficult and confusing than it needs to be.
We're observing that a candida overgrowth can contribute to all kinds of digestive disorders as well as lower the health of the entire body, and that only a few weeks of following a no sugar, no meat, no dairy diet that also eliminates most carbs (except fruit & some veggies) on most but not even all days can make significantly improve those conditions!
We're also taking a regimen of 100% gum spirits of turpentine, and some of us also supplement with some combo of the following: nascent iodine, diatomaceous earth, 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide, colloidal silver, and colloidal gold. And every day we're getting healthier and healthier!
Not all of this post makes sense. Some of the citrus fruits you have pictured are on the alkaline side of the scale, when in reality they are acidic.
Also distilled water is acidic? I'm pretty sure it is PH neutral.
Yes it is surprising to see an acidic fruit like lemons listed as alkaline, but the fact is digesting them actually creates alkaline byproducts which makes the urine more alkaline.
Distilled water is interesting, as it will actually absorb carbon dioxide from the air as it sits and create a weak acid with a pH lower than 7. It is not an optimal form of water for truly hydrating the body.
I have just bought a water distiller and the water produced is stored in an air tight container, so I don't think it captures much CO2.
I imagine that distilled water absorbs CO2 in the atmosphere when it has gone through the natural distillation process known as the water cycle and falls to earth through our increasingly CO2 enriched atmosphere, but I reckon there is a limited supply in my fridge anyway.
Also if you could smell what is left over from tap water after distillation, you might think twice about putting it in your body. Limescale is one thing you may find in your kettle and leads to kidney stones. However there are far more worrying things like chlorine, fluoride and estrogen.
I read recently that fluoride can actually increase your body/brains uptake of aluminium, which can lead to Alzheimers. If you are taking orange juice from concentrate especially, you should be aware that a lot of the time its shipped in aluminium containers with an essentially concentrated acid. Not good in my opinion.
As for what comes out the other end of people after eating/drinking acidic fruit, it could well be its alkaline? But I'm not sure if this is true of the body also. The body I believe will always try to balance itself and a lot of citrus fruits contain high levels of vitamin c so should strengthen your immune system.
Do you grow any of your own fruit and veg?
You don't know for sure until you test your water with a meter or strips. Lemons are actually wonderful for creating a very alkaline environment - it is easy to see that because they even help people bring down high blood pressure if you put it in your water each day. Also Lemons help detox the liver - they do so many amazing things I never realized until I experienced it myself.
great post, thanks for sharing.
