For this reason, those with insulin resistance have normal glucose levels, while their insulin levels are excessively high.

In the vast majority of obese people, their tendency to gain weight is due to their resistance to the action of insulin. In these cases a good part of the blood glucose from food is not directed to the muscles but to the adipose tissue.

In recent years it has been observed that the problems of resistance to the action of insulin, in addition to producing obesity, also lead to type 2 diabetes or adult diabetes, at the same time they can affect the functioning of the ovary causing failures of the ovulation, excess hair, hair loss, acne, among other symptoms.

From an early age the excess of insulin affects the ovary stimulating the production of testosterone there.
This causes precocious puberty, ovulation disorders, menstrual delays, hair loss, excess fat on the face and hair root, acne and hirsutism or excess body hair occurs especially in the breasts, on the chin and I leave the navel. Infertilides are frequent because insulin affects both ovulation and fertilization, as well as implantation. There is a higher incidence of abortions in the first trimester of pregnancy and hypertension, eclampsia and gestational diabetes are frequent at the end of pregnancy
