Tiger balm, a natural remedy against body pain !
Hi Stemmians,
Today I want to tell you about the Tiger Balm!
I use this balm regularly to treat a lot of pain and I want to share with you the benefits of this miracle product.
What is the Tiger Balm ???
Contrary to what the name indicates, it contains no ingredients related to the tiger 😛.
It was developed in the 1870s by herbalist Aw Chu Kin in Rangoon, Burma, then improved and marketed in Singapore by his sons Aw Boon Haw and Aw Boon Par. Since 1926, it is manufactured in Singapore and distributed by Haw Par Healthcare.
The effectiveness of this famous balm has been proven for a long time. In fact, he was able to cure Chinese emperors who had suffered from aches and pains. Over time, its inventor, Aw Chu Kin has improved it. He was, in fact, a herbalist who worked at the court of the Emperor. The reputation of this balm grew quickly in the Asian continent before expanding all over the world.
The real balm of the tiger is composed of:
- camphor (between 17 and 25%),
- menthol (8-12%),
- gasoline of cajeput (between 6 and 8%),
- mint oil (between 8 and 10%),
- clove oil (between 1 and 2%) and
- essence of blackcurrant for the red balm (between 1 and 2%) and essence of eucalyptus for the white balm.
Finally, paraffin is used to fix the ointment (40 to 42% of the product).
We know the balm of the tiger for its virtues for the muscles (contractures), but there are many others!
I will give you some examples for which I use this balm regularly. Before that, let's see what the real balm of the tiger is composed (because there are cheap counterfeits, which will not be as effective ...!). The most serious brand comes from Singapore and is called Haw Par.
What are the virtues of the tiger balm?
As soon as it is applied to the area to be treated, the pain gradually subsides and disappears after a while. Its application is characterized either by a sensation of warmth or a sensation of freshness depending on the type of balm.
I use The red balm against :
- inflammation
- muscle pain
- osteoarticular
- lumbar weakness and backache
I use The white balm against :
- nasal congestion
- sinusitis
- rhinitis
- cough
- colds
- headaches
- insect bites
Tips and recommendations:
This miracle cure works on all parts of the body.
Needless to put a lot because it is very concentrated. It is best to heat it in the hands and apply it to the painful area by friction to penetrate it. As soon as the zone begins to heat, you can stop rubbing. It is at this moment that the balm of the tiger will act.
*Caution : do not apply on mucous membranes and eyes !!! It's also forbidden to use it orally, as it contains an amount of camphor. And after use it is very important to wash your hands!
I let you try and tell me news !!! I hope this blog will help you to use this product of the best way. If you have any questions don't hesitate! 😉
