RE: The Bully in a White Coat

in #health6 years ago

There are a bunch of holistic ways to improve health, but because they can't be monetized they are considered "quack science".

And, in reality, a lot of it is quack science, but we don't put any research and development into inexpensive solutions. So there is no way to tell what we should actually do because most of the information out there has been tainted by greed.

The vast majority of doctors have an unacceptable God complex. They deal with the uneducated masses day in and day out and it makes them feel superior. They are pawns in the healthcare racket.

The trifecta of Insurance, Pharmaceuticals, and Doctors have been bleeding the masses dry for quite some time. The "do no harm" mantra is an offensive joke.

One of the main reason I write on this subject is that I have quite a few friends constantly in an out at some doctor and they rarely get any answers, only drugs and more tests. And they never seem to notice this, which I find quite amazing.
And speaking of other remedies, popular remedies, I've once had someone tell me to be very careful with chamomille tea, as it could be very dangerous. She must have read that somewhere, no doubt. Actually, not a day passes without finding an article warning about natural remedies. Whatever is cheap is, by default, useless, old wives' tales, quack science, as you say...
