Control Your Mind
Today I want to ask a question from you that can you control your mind or concentrate on your work? Most of our answers will be ‘NO’ but do we know why is it happening to us and why we are not able to concentrate and remain focused?
You all are aware that to do something better in life you have to control your mind and especially your thought processes because unnecessary thoughts can hinder you're every decision-making ability. So we should know how to think and react and not let our mind controls us in every situation.
Till the time mind controls you, it will play with you and a well-said example is that a car is like your body, the driver is like your mind and your soul is the owner of the car. So when the mind controls you it means the driver is driving the car in its own way without knowing what it wants and we think that our mind is a part of our body. But is it so? No, it is not the same because as the driver and owner are different just like this your mind is also different from the body. So if you are thinking of controlling mind then you are wrong because if you try to control the mind then it will play with you more and you will be getting more and more confused. So basically you don’t have to control your mind to such an extent that you only end up being distracted and lost. When you do some work and you try to control your mind and everything that is going in your mind then you may have noticed that you were not able to concentrate and ultimately that work which you were doing was inefficient so what is the fact of controlling the mind?
The main fact of controlling the mind is to observe the mind as both the body and mind are different as explained above. It means you have to observe the mind just like a second person is observing your mind and by this, you can control and order your mind basically your thoughts. It is the best way to control your mind by visualizing your mind as different and finding the mistakes done by the mind and in which direction our thoughts are leading our mind. If it is going in the wrong direction then you can control your mind by saying to yourself and letting your mind convinced that you are wrong this time and you have to take a different direction for your work in the much more efficient way.
The second step is that don't be over excited in life because after that our body and brain is out of our control and then mind plays with us and we take decisions in the excitement which we may regret later on. That is why it is always said that never take any decision in too happy and too sad moments.
Another thing which one can do is that whenever something is not happening according to your wish then don't react immediately and lose hope for everything else. First, try to analyze that situation and then react according to it. It means if it is needed then react otherwise just forget and don't let yourself get irritated and disturb your mind just because you couldn’t achieve one thing which you aspire to. You should never lose down your hope and passion to do things as there is always a second path open to you to walk on. The only thing we have to do is to just analyze it with some patience because yes YOU HAVE THAT SPARK!
Also, you don’t have to let your mind be restless in your neutral state i.e when you are not doing anything. So at that time you should just remain calm and should feel happy that you don’t need anything now and you don’t have to rush for something and your life is very simple and smooth. And you are happy with your life and yourself. Happiness does create some magic.
The most important task of our mind is to gather the knowledge because the necessity of mind is Knowledge. Yes, we are here to learn and gather knowledge but don’t overstimulate yourself with anything and everything.
For controlling your mind you have to reward your mind every time you achieve your goals. The thoughts are just only thoughts which can't be real every time. Don't try to control your every thought. Try to think in different ways to solve a problem or situation. Keep your thoughts as positive as you can and avoid negative thoughts. One positive thought can really lead you on a beautiful journey.
Last but not the least is- meditation. Do meditate when you get free and keep some time for yourself. You can be quiet and try to focus on your mind by observing it and try to think that you are different from your mind and your mind can’t control you. You can even listen to your favorite music, gift yourself whatever you want to and do whatever makes you feel happy. If you are happy from inside it will be reflected in your every work and your mind will not be able to confuse you or play with you.
