Nicotine Dependancy : Rise of the Electronic 'Cigarette'
Dependency : Addiction : Over Consumption
A simple and very general observation on the rise of E-cigs as a method of consuming nicotine.
If you will, take a moment to consider the following text abstractly ; Just like the rise of diet soda , this new vape phase has been initiated in the culture , diverting attention from the original concern, dependency on nicotine and tobacco products / Over consumption. I am not a fan of vape and the way people use it and believe it to be ' healthier ' often lends to them taking more puffs then their original tobacco habit. Just as one may drink diet soda and tell them self comfortingly 'It's better for you' . Does anyone else see how this could lend to an increase in consumption of a product ?
I'm not here to discredit the new age vapelordturbo 3000 vape pens , I just don't have respect for the mentality behind " Consume more product , Expect less effect " Every action has a reaction and the moves you make directly effect your life, sometimes your body.
Look forward. Brother, Don't let the Hymn of the Science Sirens Lead your ship crashing towards dark and unforeseen shores, Open your eyes and let the lighthouse of my word guide you through the ever so foggy and unpredictable future which is the space ahead.
I simply write to convey my own perspective and stimulate thought on the subject matter above, My ideas are fluid and if you hold a differing opinion, or have more information Respond below and contribute what you wish.
Thanks for reading.
I completely agree with you, it's "diet soda". I tried e-cigs in its early stage (no nicotine just vapor) not because I was trying to quit cigarettes, but so I could "smoke" in my room. I would sit there in front of my computer puffing away non-stop. I soon noticed I was smoking a lot more ciggarettes when I was outside. It made the physical addiction like the gestures more of a habit. I felt like I was more addicted and who knows what smoking these new chemicals will cause. It wasn't long ago cigarettes weren't considered bad for us.
There is just way too little evidence for electronic cigarettes so that we can make the proper deductions and access the dangers and benefits.
When it comes to science that has to take into consideration a couple of generations stay wary. Same applies for GMOs. We simply cannot know yet what the future bestows upon us.
