How I live my life with a disease people cannot see.......

Hello Fellow Steemians!

Today is day two in my steemit journey. I joined as I have an interest in Cryptocurrencies and I am constantly trying to learn new things. I am addicted to research.

I am not a blogger, writer or am advanced in content curating but thought if I was just honest and stayed true to myself, possibly people would be interested in my views. Sorry if my writing or blog writing skills are not up to par.

I will start by mentioning that I suffer from an invisible disease called Spinal Stenosis. I am affected in the lumbar and cervical sections of my spine. Spinal stenosis is the narrowing of the spaces within your spine, which can put pressure on the nerves that travel through the spine. Spinal stenosis occurs most often in the lower back and the neck. This causes quite a bit of pain throughout my body.

I am 37 years old but have always tried to act younger. I am still currently very active in sports and will continue to be until this disease tells me my body has suffered enough. This disease does not show itself to the world. The nerve pain then makes me very fatigued and at the end of my day I am exhausted and sore. 

I have a wife and 2 children and it is very difficult to live with this disease and do the small things they enjoy. I have a hard time carrying them for extended periods of time, I cannot walk long distances and even bending over for long periods of time is very hard.

I am not writing for pity or for people to feel bad for me. Quite the opposite. I am trying to open myself up to other people who suffer from any type of disease or any other challenge that is difficult to explain to others. I hope you can share your stories with me so I can learn about others situations and how they persevere.

I do not medicate for my disease as I believe it will lead me down a long road of dependency and I am still young to be suffering from this disease.

I will end this post by saying that I love life and I will continue to be strong and fight for normal living conditions.
