Organic Farm Under Threat of Being Sprayed With Roundup/Glyphosate & Other Toxic Herbicides! Keep Azure Farm Organic!
You can help by taking action! I order my organics from Azure Standard, a well-respected organic farm from Oregon and I'm not happy with what I'm hearing! I want the freedom to be able to order organic food without having to worry about harmful sprays defeating the purpose! The local government is attempting to force the farm to use Roundup to rid their farm of noxious weeds.
Here is the latest and an excerpt from Azure Standard Farms' own website...
"Azure Farms is a working, Certified Organic farm located in Moro, Central Oregon, in Sherman County. It has been Certified Organic for about 18 years. The farm produces almost all the organic wheat, field peas, barley, Einkorn, and beef for Azure Standard.
Sherman County is changing the interpretation of its statutory code from controlling noxious weeds to eradicating noxious weeds. These weeds include Morning Glory, Canada Thistle, and Whitetop, all of which have been on the farm for many years, but that only toxic chemicals will eradicate.
Organic farming methods – at least as far as we know today – can only control noxious weeds—it is very difficult to eradicate them."

"If you are concerned about where your food comes from, enjoy Organic and non-GMO food grown in the United States, and support organic farmers, contact Sherman County Court before May 22, 2017 (and preferably before May 17 when the next court discussion will be held)."

I ❤️ Your post. I had a situation that one spring my neighbors was spraying her garden with Roundup. It paralyzed me but then I went to her and explain my knowledge about that horrible stuff. Believe me what's a great neighbor she stopped right away. Since that time she even do not pick up dandelions in her garden. The first bee food. I hope is more people like her and you. We are quickly loosing our freedom to choose. This is unfair, I hope people will call and ask to keep Azure Standard organic!

Unfortunately, they live in an alternate reality and don't take into consideration how they are a bunch of sell-outs! Also, they just don't care!
The sad part is part of me "wants" to believe that some people actually get into politics because they want to do good and don't like what they see. But in the end, they all succumb to corporate america.
