When looking for plastic surgery as many relatives of mine have, make sure you take precaution as it is surgery you are seeking.

Make sure the Plastic Surgeon is an M.D., not a Cosmetic Surgeon. No residency is required for cosmetic surgeons although many claim to be legitimate doctors with the required education of a medical doctor. Never fall for the cosmetic surgeon tag, and make sure your plastic surgeon is available through all steps of the consultation and procedure. A standard plastic surgeon will see you on average four times total: once for your initial consultation, once to conduct the procedure, once post-op to make sure the patient takes precautions for healing, and once weeks later to make sure everything looks good and it what the patient expected.

Any plastic surgeon willing to meet with the client more than twice post-op is the top tier of surgeons. Make sure your doctor sees what you see in terms of gaining confidence through molding a particular feature. Another key piece in making sure the place is right for you i seeing if the surgery itself is Medicare Certified. One would not eat at a restaurant with a 'C' rating, so don't go to a surgery room with a bad Medicare rating.
