If your body mask index (BMI) is more then there are chances that you may have high blood pressure. This claim has been done in a study. A study published in the Jama Network Open showed correlation between obesity and high blood pressure. It was reported that if there is no blood pressure in the control, there may be many heart related diseases, such as heart attack, stroke and heart failure.
In this study, the research team included 1.7 million Chinese men and women between 35 and 80 years of age and recorded partial blood pressure of participants during September 2014 to June 2017. Among those who were not taking anti-hypersensitive medicines, the blood pressure in BMI showed an increase of unit 0.8 to 1.7mm Hg.
Meaning BMI of all the people involved in the study was 24.7 and mean systolic blood pressure was 136.5. According to the guidelines of the American Heart Association, it was measured as stage-I hypertension. This research has been supplemented by institutions such as the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Innovation Fund for Medical Sciences, the Ministry of Finance of China and the Family Planning Commission of China.
