Dear Steemians,

Yesterday, we arranged a quick decided free Medical checkup campaign for around 180 people in our locality. The free medical checkup was offered by around 25 internship doctors and few senior doctors from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital. They called us in the morning for help in the arrangement in our local area where many of the poeple are from lower income family and slums.

My brother got the call from doctors at around 10 AM and we agreed to arrange at 4 PM as we had a program at @SchoolForSDG4 and also the day was busy for all volunteers. As I was busy with my school activities all day so I could not help with it a lot but joined lately. We gave the information to people who were looking for such service. Many people in our locality don't know their blood type and also have diabetics and blood pressure. We did the arrangement as it will help them to know about their health and blood types.

During the day, ( from 4 PM to 6 PM ) many people came to the temporary medical camp for a free blood pressure check-up, blood type check-up, eye problem and other general problems. My brother was the chief guest of the program.

Organized By: Gashitula Islami Social welfare association.

We were three brothers there for help to arrange the program as the members of the welfare association. My elder brother is the secretary of the association and he is also a potential candidate for the local election. After completing my school job, I joined with them for the help. Before the arrangement, we announced it through miking in the area. I also informed about it to my school children's mothers.

Most of the beneficiary was women and older people who can't travel to a hospital or don't find such opportunity. We made a list of the people with their mobile numbers and the blood groups so we can easily help people or find blood donors in an emergency.

The medical support helped around 180 people directly. As it was the independence day of Bangladesh, many people wish to do something special for the country. So, the internees and doctors of the Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital came forward to help our community people.

Many of women from @WomenEmpowerment and @SchoolForSDG4 came to get the facility. They also got some health advice from doctors.
