The Link Between Nexium and Autism
I’ve written this case study to show that autism isn’t JUST associated with vaccine damage, sometimes other pharmaceutical drugs have played a role as well.
A worried mother from Florida contacted me. She had a five-year-old autistic son and needed my help. He was minimally verbal, total vocabulary of 50 words, could say a few 2-word sentences. He had delayed comprehension, with the understanding of a two-year-old. He was sensitive to noise, hyperactive, banged his head on the wall, walked on tip-toes. He also had many gastrointestinal problems: From birth he alternated between constipation and diarrhoea, he had undigested food in his stool, he had excessive burping and vomited after every meal! He also screamed after every meal and I suspected this was connected to the gut problems.
That’s right, he was five-years-old and had vomited every meal since birth!
Obviously the usual interventions had been tried. When breastfeeding mother changed her diet, then moved to various formula milks, probiotics, diets all without improvement. His mother has taken him many times to the paediatrician, but nothing that they prescribed made any difference to the vomiting.
Before tackling his other symptoms, I decided to start with his gut. I suspected that if we healed this, many other things would improve as well.
As always I built a timeline of his life, from pre-pregnancy to the present day. There were lots of factors going on. Mother was going through a series of extremely stressful events during the pregnancy. She also had to take progesterone suppositories throughout as there was a high risk of miscarriage. However, what stood out for me was that she had taken a drug for many years prior for her stomach issues - excessive gas and pain. The drug was called Nexium. This is a proton-pump inhibitor which reduces stomach acid production.
This was a complex case (I’ve only shared SOME of the complicating factors in this article). I decided to start with a well-indicated remedy and some organ support.
1st Prescription:
Mercurius 200c + Okoubaka 6c
Result: Speech improved, but no change in gastro symptoms
2nd Prescription:
Mercurius 1m + Calc Carb 12c + Aethusa 12c
I wanted to continue the speech improvements, and was still searching for remedies to help the gut.
Result: Continuing speech improvements but AGAIN nothing changing in the gut.
3rd Prescription:
Mercurius 10m + Natrum Phos 6x + NEXIUM 30c
Finally I test to see if the Nexium drug is a factor.
Result: Oh wow a clear gut reaction! His vomiting has increased to 5 - 6 times daily! I’m sure we are on the right path at this point.
4th Prescription:
NEXIUM 200c + Ipecac 30c
Result: Vomiting decreasing on the Nexium, no benefit noticed with Ipecac.
5th Prescription:
Continue NEXIUM 200c + Nux Vomica 6c + Mercurius 200c
Result: Vomiting continuing to decrease in intensity and frequency. Mum now reporting that she see’s a ‘big change’ in him. No toe walking or head banging now. No undigested food in stools now which are (for the first time in his life) well-formed. However they stink ‘like rotten meat’ (sorry for graphic description!). School is also now complaining less about his behaviour
6th Prescription:
Continue NEXIUM 200c + Aethusa 200c
Result: Mum reports “I’m very happy to tell you that he’s doing so well”. She has a big grin on her face during the consult. The vomiting has now almost ceased entirely. He has managed to start gaining weight (previously he was very underweight due to the continual vomiting). He’s even grown a little taller. She also reports less autism symptoms, he’s calm, he’s ‘talking like never before', his understanding has improved markedly. He is now able to eat a much wider range of food with no ill-effects. He’s been having ice-cream for the first time and loving it!
7th Prescription:
NEXIUM 1m + Aethusa 1m
Result: I'll tell you in a month!
Analysis: This is such a clear demonstration of the long term damage pharmaceutical drugs can cause in a family, and of the magic that homeopathy is capable of.
I expect that this boy will lose his autism diagnosis in the next year or two.
Amazing work Alan. I'm amazed
