RE: Dealing with seasonal/recurring depression... What tips & tricks do you have?

in #healing6 years ago

Things I do
-Anxiety and depression has many symptoms try to pay attention to them. Try EFT tapping.

.

-Lavender oil is great too.

-Long term solutions Shadow work with a shaman you know, and trust.

-If you have a Guru, or Spiritual teacher that you know is legit and you trust do some work on yourself and ask for help. The more people consciously involved the power and effect is amplified exponentially.

-I have got into the new tree of life (Stephen Popiotek on youtube), besides that I practice tiny space of the heart, Merkaba, zen, connecting to my spirit guides, and work with angels.
Spiritual work is very personal so stick with what feels right, it is the best guide you have. (There are people who are addicted to self-help and spirituality I’m guilty of it for sure)

-Lucid dreaming and journaling it. The subconscious is trying to tell you something.

-Get out of your comfort zone and do something fun maybe something a little scary.

-Keep your regular practice of meditation and maybe add on to it.

-Break your routine, with something spontaneous.

-Gratitude journal if you don’t already have one. If you have one go back and read some days from the past. You can see how your thinking, life, relationships have either improved, were great back then and you can replicate now again.

-Move your body more, Run, rock climbing, nature walks, yoga, swim, Sunlight, (if it’s raining all the time put on a rain jacket and get outside anyway).

-Find a way to laugh and enjoy yourself, even if you’re just laughing at yourself trying to learn how to two-step. Meet up with some of your more ridiculous and funny friends and enjoy yourself for a while. We often get way to serious. Laugh and get in a more childlike state.

-Meet someone new, our perspective is limited by our beliefs and if we stay in our bubble it stays that way. I believe everyone can teach me something even if it is what not to do.

-Stop and pay attention to the signs, sometimes they are really obvious and sometimes they are not. There are things you are missing.

-Ask for help, try to notice it when it comes, be grateful and accept the help. Often the ego gets in the way if we are all one does it matter where we get our help from?

-Give something to someone for no reason. Just do a nice deed for a stranger and don't take anything in return for it.

Things friends have recommended me
-Kratom if you don’t have an addictive personality. It has to be dosed right and not abused. I'm told it can be very helpful. I have not tried it.
