Walking Down To A Secret Beach

On the Big Island in Hawaii, there is a hard-to-get-to beach that either takes HOURS to hike to in the blazing sun through sand dunes, or you can pay an old Ohioan man named Tim to take you down in his off road pickup truck.

We chose option #2 and it paid off, this place was incredible! Papakolea Beach on the southern tip of the Big Island was one of the most surreal places we visited in Hawaii.
