BEAUTIFUL MESS

Sitting alone in my room with my jumbled thoughts.
I look out my balcony, feel the breeze on my face. I hate to admit it but I'm a beautiful mess.
Yes, I know I'm beautiful and a sight to behold and that has been my major problem.
Sometimes it's to my advantage but this time it really is to my disadvantage.
I've made mistakes but I don't regret them I learnt from it cos it made me the woman I am today, fearless and ready to take risks.
I did not let my mistakes define who I am but unfortunately my mistakes defined who people think I am.
All but one person saw through me ignoring the rumors and for once I had hope.
I thought he was different, damn boy!!! you should have gotten a Grammy for best act.
Now I'm here all alone back to the starting point covering up my pain with the brightest of smile and my bruises with the best concealers money can buy.
