DHAKA: The Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina came to Bangabhaban after the party's decision to nominate Abdul Hamid again for the president.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Law Minister Anisul Haque, Awami League General Secretary and Labor Minister Obaidul Quader, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam.
On Wednesday (January 31st), Sheikh Hasina presided over the Ganabhaban at the parliamentary board meeting of the party and decided to nominate Abdul Hamid.
Being the absolute majority party in the Awami League Parliament, Abdul Hamid was sworn in as president for another term.
According to the rules, the President will be elected before the expiration of April 23. Election Commission has already announced the schedule on February 18 and the Election Commission has already announced the schedule.
Earlier on March 14, 2013, the President said. While Zillur Rahman was undergoing treatment in Singapore, then acting speaker Abdul Hamid served as the acting president. Since Zillur Rahman died on March 20, 2013, he has been acting as the temporary President.
