Blog#1: Harvesting Corn

Hello steemian friend this time I will share the story about my experience of harvesting corn. Early story my father rented a patch of 1.5 hectares of land to plant corn. After the process is complete my father immediately ordered the seeds and fertilizer for the corn planting process. After all equipment such as seeds, fertilizer, land, and people who work is complete then the planting process begins. Starting from leveling the ground with heavy equipment, fertilizer, then planting the seeds, and will be given fertilizer again. And do not forget to make a fence so that the corn we plant is spared from animals that want to destroy it. It takes about 4 months for the corn to be harvested.

Halo sahabat steemian kali ini saya akan membagikan cerita tentang pengalaman saya memanen jagung. Awal cerita ayah saya menyewa sepetak lahan berukuran 1,5 Hektar untuk menanam jagung. Setelah proses tersebut selesai ayah saya langsung memesan bibit dan juga pupuk untuk proses penanaman jagung tersebut. Setelah semua perlengkapan seperti bibit, pupuk, lahan, dan orang yang bekerja sudah lengkap barulah proses penanaman di mulai. Mulai dari meratakan tanah dengan alat berat, pemberian pupuk, kemudian penanaman bibit, dan akan di beri pupuk lagi. Dan jangan lupa untuk membuat pagar agar jagung yang kita tanam terhindar dari binatang yang ingin merusaknya. Butuh sekitar 4 bulan supaya jagung tersebut bisa di panen.

Viewed from the form is quite satisfactory because of the large corn. My dad said if you want a satisfactory result should be given fertilizer periodically so that the results as we expect. Setelah melalui proses selama 4 bulan, akhirnya jagung yang ayah saya tanam bisa di panen. Disinilah saya ikut membantu memanen jagung-jagung tersebut. Dilihat dari bentuknya cukup memuaskan dikarenakan jagungnya besar-besar. Kata ayah saya kalau ingin hasil yang memuaskan harus di beri pupuk secara berkala supaya hasilnya seperti yang kita harapkan. Berikut foto-fotonya.

Setelah dipanen jagung-jagung tersebut akan dipisahkan bijinya dari batangnya dengan kata lain di rontokkan bijinya. Ingat ini bukan jagung untuk di konsumsi melainkan untuk dibuat menjadi bibit kembali. Jagung tersebut dirontokkan dengan menggunakan mesin, setelah di rontokkan akan di masukkan kedalam karung. Kemudian jagung-jagung itu akan di jemur sebelum di jual. ini foto proses penjemurannya.

Begitulah sedikit pengalaman saya dalam hal memanen jagung, semoga pengalaman ini bermanfaat khususnya buat diri saya dan sahabat steemian semua.
