Throwback.
I know it is anathema these days to acknowledge that a Harris presidency could do any good, but I honestly am hopeful on drug policy and criminal justice reform.
Kamala Harris during her tenure in the Senate sponsored a marijuana legalization bill. She also sponsored this calling for an end to qualified immunity.
One of the first signs for me that something was deeply wrong with libertarians was how they pretty much never spoke about people like Cory Booker or Ron Wyden, who had some pretty decent records on civil libertarian stuff like this. They couldn't shut up about Rand Paul even while he simultaneously wanted to restrict refugees and asylum seekers.
I don't know. Libertarians probably don't deserve the amount of relevance I'm giving them.
