I don't acknowledge Kamala Harris's appointment of herself as the leader of the resistance.

That's just her egotripping and her selfish ploy to stay relevant. She and her handlers are the reason why Trump won. She lost to an asshole that had an 8% higher disapproval rate than approval rate, according to polls a couple months ago. That is an unprecedented failure. Further, I see no signs that she represents the values of the people who object to Trump. There are a lot of inadequacies. There of all, she has almost entirely been given a pass up the chain of power. She has not even ever won a majority in a democratic primary; she only got a plurality of 40% in the democratic senate primary and that was arguably primarily due to cronyistic promotions.

She lost, and it's time for someone who will bring change to the Democratic party. Meanwhile, the resistance has to be grass-roots, and the Democrats' relevance to the resistance should be minimal until the old guard is willing to surrender their power and get out of the way.
