Chapter 5
Shades of love

But Monica will not hear of it; and she made it abundantly clear to Dubem.
When Dubem saw that her incessant nagging and hate speech about Bianca was getting on Monica's nerves she resigned herself to failure promising not to stop till Bianca was out of the house.
Now she remembered that promise as she watched Bianca carry her bags upstairs to Monica's room.
Dubem hated the charisma Bianca had, it intimidated her sometimes. Being the chief maid she did have a leverage over Bianca and she would end her stay. She just could not have a rival.
Bianca saw Dubem staring at her with so Much venom that she was surprised that, her, dubem wasn't dead yet, killed by her own venom.
They were sisters both Igbo's, being from the same tribe they were supposed to look after each other, but Dubem didn't see it that way. She hated Bianca and Bianca in time came to not like her too not that she hated her. To Bianca Dubem was too insignificant to waste her hate on.
She didn't understand why Dubem saw her as a rival when she had it all. At least in the capacity of a maid.
She ignored her stares and entered the castle Monica called room.
Bianca arranged her things in the far corner of the room where a space had been provided for her. A bed, reading table and wardrobe. The room was spacious and beautiful with a parlour that looked like heaven.
Bianca loved the room and she thought it was something carved out from a castle, a castle itself.
She hoped to one day have a room like this. A girl had to hope at least.
When she was done arranging her things she proceeded to clean the room.
Meanwhile, Monica has been Standing outside listening to Bianca clean, her heart racing so much if she had spoken it was possible her heart would have fallen from her mouth. Bianca didn't know of this.
