Quote from website: "In 1993, the Markoffs started the Haunted Forest in order to raise money to start a summer camp (In 1992 it was a Haunted Bus). Calleva is now a year-round outdoor school committed to teaching and building strong leaders through positive outdoor experiences. Thanks to the many great staff, friends, and family that have made our dream a reality.
Calleva is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
The Markoffs Haunted Forest is a Benefit Performance."

This Halloween they celebrated they 25th year, scaring people. Now they are rated as one of the top places on East Cost for the Halloween. Every night there are about 150 people working at MHF ( abbreviation for Markoff's Haunted Forest) . Every year they changing the theme, building and upgrading trails, adding new features.
Everyone, who works at MHF get make up done before the shift, it takes 3-4 hours by 8-10 artists to paint faces, or use latex and other materials to create masks, some masks takes up to 7 hours to prepare, like this one:

Over years, Markoffs family are adding more and more attractions: Zip Line, Death Jump, Giant Swing, Hayride, now there is a Corn Field and a Village with Hayride. Might be different next year.
First time I get there as a photographer in 2007, ten years ago! I set up website and everyone could see and buy photos online. ( olegphotos.com currently is on reconstruction). This is why, you will probably never see those photos online. Im planing to update my photography website and redo my albums and portfolio. Not all of those photos will be posted.
