It was the year of 1965, in a ranch near Ixtlahuaca in the State of Mexico, which had no name so hidden and unknown, just some adobe houses began to rise, there was no electricity or drinking water, a road land that practically disappeared with the darkness of the night, nobody dared to enter these places as soon as it got dark, since it was very easy to get lost taking wrong paths that led to the cornfields.

Rosario and Benjamin came to live there just married, they had left some plots to harvest and could start growing them and be able to get their things done. Rosario, a young woman of just 17 years old, was quiet, maybe that was what Benjamin had fallen in love with, that demure look, full of melancholy, made the young boy's heart beat.

Time passed and they soon became pregnant, Rosario began to have an unusual joy, she sang while she made her tortillas sitting in front of her big comal, where they also boiled their clay pots that contained the food that would satisfy the hunger of the tired Benjamin. There was another atmosphere of joy and peace, but not everything was like that, at 6 p.m., the crickets began to sing and the silence became heavier.

This time Benjamin took precautions, rarely left alone, sent to bring his sister Tomasa to go to take care of Rosario.
