THE PAWONLY

This story happened in the 60s, when my grandmother was very young.

My grandmother lived with her parents, and at that time she studied in a small school that was in a town far from her home.

My grandmother was going on a donkey, so the school was very retired.

My grandmother says that once she left school, she stayed late with one of her classmates who had invited her to eat at home.

When the sun was a few hours before the sun went down, my grandmother decided to return before her mother worried.

He undertook the return in low daylight, and as time went by the sun had completely hidden.

My grandmother still had a way to go, so she was worrying about her mother getting upset.

My grandmother says that when she entered the path, she reached a point where the donkey began to behave in a very strange way, as if she did not want to move forward.

The donkey jumped, made tantrums in a desperate way, so much that my grandmother had to get off it to see what was happening to her.

My grandmother says that within seconds of getting down she felt a great chill and a breeze of icy air, because she began to feel an uneasiness inside her but decided not to pay attention and continue on her way by pulling the donkey.

When suddenly in the distance in the interior of the mountain he hears a great noise as if they had come demolishing trees heavily, but each time the noise was approaching my grandmother.

She was terrified, so much that she began to cry from her nerves, there was no one else on the road, apart from that it was dark and she could not see beyond what her sight allowed, she began to pray looking everywhere and the donkey I stretched my grandmother wanting to move faster.

He kept walking for a few seconds later, when instantly my grandmother noticed that a great noise came from a few meters away from her, she stared and couldn't believe what her eyes were looking at, she saw a creepy woman coming out who seemed to have a single leg similar to that of a horse leg, the woman seemed to be bleeding and had no eyes, they were two black holes ...

My grandmother, seeing the horrible appearance of the woman, was paralyzed, while the frightful woman did not take her eyes off her, she began to make strange sounds with her mouth and after a few seconds she started running (jumping) towards my grandmother.

My grandmother saw that the woman was running towards her, her reaction was so rapid that what she did was throw herself on top of the donkey, with one foot on top and the other in the air, and the donkey began to run in a hurry. He says he doesn't know how he did it so he wouldn't fall, I guess because of the adrenaline he had at the time, I was very fished with him.

My grandmother looked back, and I only saw the silhouette of the woman standing where she could no longer reach her.

Upon arriving at his house, my great-grandmother (her mother) was very upset, but when she saw my grandmother's face she worried, because her face was pale, and even though she tried to speak, her voice did not leave her fear.

My great grandmother hugged her and reassured her until my grandmother could speak and told her everything that had happened to her.

My great-grandmother, astonished to hear everything, said: "Santa María Purisima! The Pasola appeared to you. Thank you for taking the donkey or else it would have taken you."

That is why my grandmother says that animals are blessed since they can see what we do not see, that is why they always protect us from bad energies and evil things, this happened to my grandmother and she says that she will never forget the terrible night what happened...
