Halloween in Australia.

in #halloween7 years ago

It seems more and more that overseas holidays are being forced on Australians and mainly by our retailers.
Now i don't care tbh, the annoying thing is where to stand on the issue, do you buy lollies for the kids who show up and make an effort, simply following along to trends they see on TV. Or, do i turn off the lights and ignore the knovks at the door? Then there is this year, i embraced yhe idea and got a heap of lollies and I had three kids show up.
I want an all in or not at all approach. This is the problem when our retailers try and make a quick buck sprucking whatevera holiday is popular anywhere in the world.

I even sa thanksgiving stuff advertised last year... As Australians we have no right to celebrate an American holiday with such significance.

Do people from other countries have this issue? Hmu in comments as I'd love to know.

Cheers
