The 48th edition of Mizu no Oto – Every Image Has Its Haiku has come to an end.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the messages of deep empathy that you have sent, accompanied by your beautiful haiku.
The epidemic that is scourging the world awakens, or in our case sharpens, the feeling of union and sharing between all sensitive souls. I am proud and moved by what our small community of poets and dreamers is proving to be, keeping the flame of reason well lit. Literature and artistic activities help us to maintain a high mood and inner calm, because when we can leave this difficult moment behind, we can do so with a calm reflection on our lifestyles and its values that we have followed so far, and not with anguish and recriminations.
I take this opportunity to make an important announcement: this will be Bananafish's penultimate post on Steemit.
The last one will be an announcement for all our Tribe that we move to Hive. We thought about it a lot, and we understood that most of our tribe supporters and members have already made this step, so it is a natural thing for us to follow them.
But let's get to our contest!

La 48ª edición de Mizu no Oto - Cada imagen tiene su Haiku ha llegado a su fin.
Les agradezco a todos desde el fondo de mi corazón los mensajes de profunda empatía que han enviado, acompañados de su hermoso haiku.
La epidemia que azota el mundo despierta, o en nuestro caso agudiza, el sentimiento de unión y compartir entre todas las almas sensibles. Estoy orgulloso y conmovido por lo que está demostrando ser nuestra pequeña comunidad de poetas y soñadores, manteniendo bien encendida la llama de la razón. La literatura y las actividades artísticas nos ayudan a mantener un estado de ánimo elevado y una calma interior, porque cuando podemos dejar atrás este momento difícil, podemos hacerlo con una reflexión tranquila sobre nuestros estilos de vida y sus valores que hemos seguido hasta ahora, y no con angustia y recriminaciones.
Aprovecho esta oportunidad para hacer un anuncio importante: esta será la penúltima publicación de Bananafish en Steemit.
La última será un anuncio para toda nuestra Tribu de que nos mudemos a Hive. Lo pensamos mucho y entendimos que la mayoría de los miembros y simpatizantes de nuestra tribu ya han dado este paso, por lo que es natural que los sigamos.

¡Un día a la vez!
El arcoíris saldrá
mira el balcón.
I really liked this haiku for its message of hope without sentimentality or frills. I consider it a full-fledged haiku and not a senryū because it maintains an impersonal style, the bipartition through a kireji and also a form of kigo given by the rainbow, although here it is metaphorical and inspired by the drawing hanging outside the balcony . "One day at a time" is a message that I see very suitable for these times and for the poetics of small things, simple life, beauty in labor and transience of things.
Realmente me gustó este haiku por su mensaje de esperanza sin sentimentalismo ni adornos. Lo considero un haiku completo y no un senryū porque mantiene un estilo impersonal, la bipartición a través de un kireji y también una forma de kigo dada por el arcoìris, aunque aquí es metafórico e inspirado en el dibujo que cuelga fuera del balcón. "Un día a la vez" es un mensaje que veo muy adecuado para estos tiempos y para la poética de las cosas pequeñas, la vida simple, la belleza en el trabajo y la fugacidad de las cosas.

We had given the opportunity to choose between three different photos that testified life in the quarantine time. The photo of the balcony with the design of hope and the flag has affected your sensitivity more, since both the winner haiku and those chosen by you are inspired by it.
These two haiku are also very similar, because both show a strong contrast between negative elements (the epidemic, the fear) and the children with their laughter, behind the shelter given by the walls of the house or by the window glass.
Habíamos dado la oportunidad de elegir entre tres fotos diferentes que atestiguaban la vida en el tiempo de cuarentena. La foto del balcón con el diseño de la esperanza y la bandera ha afectado más su sensibilidad, ya que tanto el ganador del haiku como los elegidos por vosotros están inspirados en él.
Estos dos haiku también son muy similares, ya que ambos muestran un fuerte contraste entre los elementos negativos (la epidemia, el miedo) y los niños con sus risas, detrás del refugio dado por las paredes de la casa o por el cristal de la ventana.

El encuentro de esta edición del concurso ha resultado en una posibilidad de expresar sentimientos profundos en relación con la pandemia del covid-19. Para apreciar la gama de estos sentimientos han servido de estímulo las tres imágenes que el equipo de @bananafish nos presentó para seleccionar, de ellas, una.
Creo que todos los ejercicios parten de la certeza del natural temor ("tiempos difíciles" dice @evagavilan, "la vida calla" dice @salvao) ante lo que no se conoce o no se ha vivido. Después del primer impacto surge, en la mayoría y casi automáticamente, el último mal, el que se quedó al fondo de la caja de Pandora: la esperanza, nuestro principal antivirus. La escogencia de la mayoría, seleccionando la fotografía del balcón con la imagen del arcoiris y el mensaje de colores así parece decirlo.
Creo que quien mejor expresa esta mezcla de sentimientos y el impacto de toda la situación es @wakeupkitty, quien además termina con una risa nerviosa que es, desde mi lectura, la misma expresión del primer verso, dicho en otra forma.

The meeting of this edition of the contest has resulted in an opportunity to demonstrate deep feelings in the face of the covid-19 pandemic. In order to evaluate the range of these feelings, the three images that the @bananafish team have presented to us to select one of them have served as a stimulus.
I believe that all the exercises start from the certainty of natural fear ("difficult times" says @evagavilan, "life is silent" says @salvao) faced with what is not known or has not been lived. After the first impact, most and almost automatically, the last evil arises, the one that remained in Pandora's box: hope, our main antivirus. The choice of the majority, selecting the photograph of the balcony with the image of the rainbow and the message of colors, seems to say so.
I think who best expresses this mixture of feelings and the impact of the whole situation is @wakeupkitty, who also ends with a nervous laugh that is, from my reading, the same expression of the first verse, said in a different way.
“Hope, our main antivirus”. This is the phrase that summarize all this edition of Mizu No Oto. Thank you, Graciela, for hitting the point so brightly.
