WhatsApp doesn't keep you safe if a hacker makes a video call

Sometimes the awareness of a vulnerability comes after the damage has been done, updating services is a good habit, although not enough. If yesterday was the day of Google +, today the concern is the WhatsApp bug for which hackers could have gained control of the app, simply after using the video call service, evidently solicited by the attacker himself. It's a smile that it was the Google Project Zero theme that highlighted the problem. With the active video call it would be possible to convey malicious code to control the device.
All those who have updated WhatsApp with patches released since September 28 are already immune to the problem. As often happens in these cases, the truth is hard to come out. The problem would have been discovered at the end of August, but would not have been solved except between the end of September and early October.
