The hackers left a message demanding quota system reform
Several government websites including those of the prime minister’s office and the home ministry have been hacked.

Around 10pm Tuesday, the homepage of the sites became replaced with a page demanding quota reform, along with a photo from the ongoing protests.

“Hacked by Bangladesh,” the title of the page said.

Students and job seekers around the country have been demonstrating against the existing quota system in government jobs. In the last few days the protests escalated to violent confrontations with police in the Dhaka University area.

Websites found down at 12am were the PMO, the home ministry, the foreign ministry, the BCS administration academy, the agriculture ministry, the foreign ministry, office of the president, the press information department and the police HQ
