Why You Should Be Consuming Creatine Everyday
WHAT THE HELL IS CREATINE!?
Creatine is a substance that is found naturally in muscle cells. It helps your muscles produce energy during heavy lifting or high-intensity exercise. Taking creatine as a supplement is very popular among athletes and bodybuilders in order to gain muscle, enhance strength and improve exercise performance. It has so many health benefits that a common Joe should include it in his daily life.
How Does Creatine Work?
When you supplement, you increase your stores of phosphocreatine. This is a form of stored energy in the cells, as it helps your body produce more of a high-energy molecule called ATP. ATP is often called the body's energy currency. When you have more ATP, your body can perform better during exercise. Creatine also alters several cellular processes that lead to increased muscle mass, strength and recovery.
Advantages
- Boost's work load which help in getting those extra sets and reps which helps in burning more calories; which results in more fat loss
- Doctors often recommend supplementing creatine to people with serious health conditions such as alzheimer's and Parkinsons disease.
- Lowers blood sugar levels
The Effects of Creatine on Muscle Gain,Strength and Exercise Performance
One 14-week study of the elderly found that adding creatine to a weight training program significantly increased leg strength and muscle mass. Multiple studies show that consuming a serving of creatine increases overall strength by 8% and muscle mass by 14%!.
How Do I Start Consuming Creatine?
The most common form of creatine is creatine monohydrate. Many people would recommend a loading phase(overloading on creatine in the very first week of consumption), but i would recommend a serving(5g) per day and i would suggest you take it everyday to benefit from it.
Creatine in my opinion makes me feel like superman. My workout sessions have been more productive and it has definitely helped in my fat loss journey. I could feel myself getting stronger over the weeks and could see increased muscle definition.
