Mass Shootings - There is no logic in the gun debate
There is no #logic in fear or #love. The whole #guncontrol debate is divide and conquer while reinforcing the authority of the fed. The main answers being handed down are look to the government to save you. That’s at the center of the debate. The debate in my opinion should be geared around solving these issues in our local communities.
It has also provoked an irrational response from liberals in the sense they are putting all their effort into a cause that should be towards the bottom of the list of priorities. Banning #assaultweapons to stop school shootings would be like banning ferari’s to stop car accidents.
Both sides are reacting and operating on fear. The #liberals have picked the scariest looking gun to fight to make them feel they stand for what’s right. And the right fights even sensible #gun regulations.
#Fear disengages rational thought and puts you in survival mode. That is at the core of the gun debate. Who will win?
Yes, they are acting in fear, fear of what they really do not understand. This is what it is all about "divide and conquer while reinforcing the authority of the fed". More power for the fed by disarming us, making us rely on them even more. The fact of the matter is there is more guns than people in the United States. Sooo if there was really a gun problem there would be waaay more murders going on. And its convenient that they leave out the fact of how guns have helped many people in self defense cases. The mainstream media also leaves out the fact that more people are murdered with blunt objects such as hammers than rifles. So should we ban Hammers? Of course not, that would be silly. People need to look at the facts(Homicide Statistics) and stop listing to other peoples opinions, especially children's opinions .
@lovenlife that is so true. Stats are often used to confuse the issue. The rational is flawed. It will eventually lead to where they find themselves banning objects like knives. I think they are already pushing for knife bans in the UK.
