gun control works...right?

My thoughts on gun control are this...IT DOESN'T WORK! Nazi Germany is the most popular and well known example. There have been many others all throughout history. Australia says "look at us! It worked!" Ok, how do we know that it worked just because nothing major ever happened again? Do you really believe that a government isn't corrupt enough to stage a tragedy, let alone several, and when they achieve their goal, the problem disappears??? I don't know about you, but I don't trust the government...ANY government. If you look back in history, you can see it happen. It still happens today. Ok wait... If the native Americans would have had modern type guns for that era, the English might not have been able to slaughter them. The Aborigines in Australia have rights to their land too. Is it so wrong for them to want to fight for their land? People migrate to foreign lands, decimate the local people, and claim it as their own. We are a barbaric race. For those of you who contest America's 2nd amendment...well, this is what was intended to level the playing field. If everyone's right to keep and bear arms was universal, NOONE would have ANYONE encroaching on anyone's land, or trying to control or take advantage of a race of people. An armed society is a polite society, because everyone knows that if you Are an aggressive asshole, you may get dealt with. On the contrary, an unarmed populace is easily led and controlled because they cannot defend themselves. You can't argue with logic. Learn from history instead of trying to erase it.
