Graph Tech Tusq XL nut upgrade

Hi friends! Today, I decided to install the nut upgrade I purchased by Graph Tech for my Epiphone Les Paul. The stock nut is already precut, and only requires minor sanding so it fits perfectly. The height seems perfect when compared to the stock nut, so I’m excited to see how it sounds after the glue sets. I can already tell a difference in the amount of ring the nut has when compared to the stock one. The stock one is plastic, and just sounds dead when dropped. The Tusq xL actually rings, kind of like a coin when dropped. I’ll post an update later on this week, but this nut upgrade is supposed to have superior tuning qualities, and won’t bind the strings which is an issue any lespaul player knows all too well.
