Most of my collection of vacuum tube is new old stock, I have some nice RCA, GE, and Sylvania tubes, along with the more generic brands. the old tubes are, for the most part, better sounding than the new made ones, but there are some new tubes on the market that are made very well and have that "sound" also. :-)
Of course, I cant help but wonder what tube treasures your neighbor has in his stash... :-)
