The goal,
to be a Guardian of the Planet!
How,
Guardians provide the space for human dignity, honour and loyalty to be the New Normal, through:
• The collection of lawfully separated recycling, and composting, for environment-friendly job creation,
resulting in grassroots-level socioeconomic empowerment reducing survivalist-motivated crimes.
• The provision of local food security, and investing in relevant local education, entrepreneurial
empowerment and general supervision.
Cape Town is one of South Africa's three capital cities, serving as the seat of the Parliament of South Africa.
- It is the legislative capital of the country, the oldest city in the country, and the second largest (after Johannesburg). Colloquially named the Mother City.
- It is the largest city of the Western Cape province,[9] and is managed by the City of Cape Town metropolitan municipality.
The other two capitals are Pretoria, the executive capital, located in Gauteng, where the Presidency is based
Bloemfontein, the judicial capital in the Free State, where the Supreme Court of Appeal is located.

It was here, in the Mother City, where the first European colonists set foot in South Africa—which also marked the beginning of the South African slave trade. It was home to perhaps the world’s most famous political prisoner—Nelson Mandela—who was held on the tiny Robben Island in Table Bay. Table Mountain and the surrounding area was home to the Khoisan people long before the first Europeans arrived. The Plan,
Enable community-minded people to be safe, knowledgeable, and able to eat and drink healthily, we
provide safe, access-controlled facilities; suitable equipment and teach them how to use the table
garden, solar cooker, desiccator and water purification systems correctly.Uplift and empower communities including protecting the value of properties, and in particular
empowering struggling homeowners: using Guardian educational teams, we source and fix homes
that can be used as Educare facilities, bringing our program to the community at the grassroots level.
To encourage local participation and use of contacts which we would never be able to access,
Homeowners living on the premises earn 10% of the income generated at their site. We would
encourage the homeowner to provide meals, snacks and the like, as the limit of their involvement.
Initial payments are R6 000/month to cover water and lights and contribute towards living expenses
while the support for the program grows.
Once the program becomes viable, a monthly rental of R20 000 becomes payable, of which R10 000
is towards the repayment of the monies used on start-up, with a 20% interest.
The lease is for 6 years, giving us all time to make a difference, and to recoup our investments.Reduce crime, and pollution and stimulate the economy: we collect lawfully separated dry property
(mixed recycling; community donations and electrical discards) for local processing and recovery, and
compostable materials (Bokashi-treated organic kitchen by-products, and soft garden materials) for
processing and ultimately, use in community flower gardens and urban table gardens.Fund those best able to help the defenseless; provide relevant education; support schools' sport and
their outreach programs; and fix or maintain the roads in participating communities, through 3rd
parties, we use the proof of the above processed dry property and compostable materials diverted
from wheelie bins and Landfill streams to ascertain the number of Carbon Tax and Landfill Airspace
credits, as well as the savings to the Municipality, that we have created.
These values, sold to locally and globally focused businesses, municipalities and governments will
reduce their operating overheads, not only for the individual, and corporations but also for nations,
and fund our vision of a better life for all. Each module funds only its community’s empowerment and
protectionist programs, allowing for challenges between adjacent modules.
To teach basic home repair and maintenance skills, we employ teams of artisans, plumbers,
electricians, carpenters and painters, and their trainee assistants, to repair, maintain or* improve the
homes of the elderly and be involved in other community programs.*To teach basic car repairs, maintenance and even just how to change a tyre, we appoint a local panel
beater and mechanical workshop to teach these skills.
As vehicles are needed, be it a bike, car or
motorcycle, we provide them with such and once repaired and passed roadworthy, we raffle off the
vehicles inexpensively, ensuring our communities have roadworthy vehicles and fully qualified drivers.
The funds raised are used to pay the service providers, and buy new vehicles to be fixed.
Shack firefighters; veld fires and natural catastrophes: Guardian communities have their programs
which, working together with the Municipal programs, protect our communities. People with the
necessary skills and inclination will be assisted to create teams which regularly interact, be it on the
sports fields, nature excursions or in practice. There will be a qualified monthly retainer system in
place, ensuring fit, and proper, support when needed.To make our country a viable investment destination for individuals and corporations, we stimulate
the local economy by reducing pollution and survivalist-motivated crime and increasing public
participation in the Guardian programs through effective, rewarding marketing and website.To stop the racist programs destroying our communities to stimulate municipal crime-related income
streams, by building modules which yet again prove the value of communities working together.

Planet Guardian Members aka “Guardians” effortlessly yet intentionally increase our collective well-being

funding or support, will now be supported at the grassroots levels. This time around, the Planet’s
Guardians will be inside every community, ready and willing to support the true entrepreneurial spirit of
adventure with mentorship, funding and ultimately, shareholding with market penetration and

Property separation:
In love and support of a better life for all, Planet Guardians regularly donate the following kinds of
lawfully separated property (a tithing of their excess blessings, as it were) for manual processing,
covering the costs of having their property correctly, and lawfully, processed, and utilized for the
benefit of the collective community, humanity and the planet:
- Dry property, being co-mingled and bagged, recyclable packaging materials; community donations
and electrical discards, knowing that the portion thereof that is without value is being manually
extracted for correct handling purposes, by a Municipally approved contractor appointed, and paid,
to deal with waste. - Bokashi-treated food and kitchen leftovers, having been collected in a 20l bucket and Bokashiactivated Bran lightly sprinkled through the mixture before being compressed to drive out any air.
- Soft, and generally compostable, excess organic garden growth, either on a call-as-needed basis, or
the weekly servicing of 200L metal bins. - Builders rubble, which may be collected in either 1-ton skips or by the half or full bakkie load, for
the recovery of reusable bricks, blocks, wood etc. - Waste property, or whatever does not fit into the above categories, is donated to the municipality
every week. If a resident, it is done via the wheelie bin, hired from and supplied by, the Municipality
for this purpose or if a business, via Municipal approved waste management contractors.
We believe that we can fix the country, one community at a time because corruption-free money

The only losers are those that are exploitive, reactive and crime-reliant, so watch closely.

How to Compost in Small Spaces with Organic Bokashi Composting

The Bokashi process originated in Japan and has been used for centuries as a natural way to decompose organic material like fruits and vegetables. This process also creates an end product called “biochar.” Biochar can improve the fertility of soils, reduce the need for synthetic fertilizers, and even cut down greenhouse gas emissions from farming operations!
Organic matter is very important in the movement of nutrients in the environment and plays a role in water retention on the surface of the planet.”
Food waste results from unused food, and the largest and most shocking amount of food waste actually comes from commercial sources. Large amounts of produce rejected from grocery stores frequently pile up in landfills and start to decompose. Not only is this simply an issue of wasted food, but it is also a waste of resources such as water, land and soil that were used to grow the food, as well as the the incredibly detrimental environmental effects on the planet of pollution resulting from the transport of the food both nationally and internationally.
Even if we work to eliminate or minimize food waste, it is still natural for there to be food scraps that we cannot eat, such as bones from meat, fruit peels, and eggshells. Kitchen scraps and kitchen waste, however, can be utilized in more sustainable and environmentally friendly ways. Composting is a great method of creating a more circular life-cycle for our food scraps. It is quite easy to incorporate a compost bin or even a plastic bag dedicated to saving kitchen scraps into our kitchens and lifestyles. The composting process and the mixture that results has an immense benefit on our gardens and homes, and the environment.
While traditional composting is the most well-known method, vermicomposting, or worm composting, is also highly efficient. This composting process involves specific worm species that break down food waste. “Despite their differences, traditional composting and vermicomposting use the same basic process: organic matter is consumed then excreted by decomposer organisms in the presence of air, breaking materials down into their constituents.”
Bokashi Composting
Bokashi composting, however, “is not a composting or decomposition process, but a way to treat organic matter prior to composting.”
Bokashi is a Japanese word that means “fermented organic matter.” The host material can be almost any fine organic grain or grass-like substance which is immersed in microbes and allowed to ferment for days. The bacteria belong to three strains: yeasts, saccharomyces, lactic acid, lactobacillus and rhodopseudomonas. According to a Solana Center article on the different composting methods, “the basic idea [of bokashi composting] is that fresh food waste is placed in an anaerobic environment and inoculated with a special mix of microbes, including lactobacillus, that facilitate fermentation.”
Anaerobic Environment meaning the absence of free oxygen but may contain atomic oxygen bound in compounds such as nitrate (NO3), nitrite (NO2), and sulfites (SO3).
Then, “as the microbes multiply, they create a highly-acidic environment that allows the organic material to retain most of its structure and nitrogen for an extended period of time. Of course, this won’t create finished compost on its own– in fact, while kept anaerobic, bokashi prevents decomposition from occurring. The real magic happens when air is re-introduced to the system.” The Bokashi fermentation process only takes about two weeks after the bucket has been sealed, and the fermentation process can be accelerated with the addition of bokashi bran, which infuses microbes into the fermented material.
Bokashi is an anaerobic process that involves layering kitchen waste and scraps with a special inoculant. The result is a highly nutritious plant nutrient that can be buried in compost trenches in a garden. The liquid byproduct makes excellent fertilizer bokashi tea for feeding plants directly.
The bokashi method requires an airtight bokashi bucket or bokashi bin with the ability to drain off the liquid that is produced. That way, the liquid can be drained off to prevent smells of foulness in the bucket without wasting oxygen.

Anaerobic Composting
Anaerobic bacteria are often found in soils and can be particularly helpful for anaerobic composting – where food scraps and other organic materials are left in a sealed environment to break down into nutrient-rich fertilizer. Someone looking to avoid the putrid smells of fresh compost in their yard might use this method of letting anaerobic bacteria break down their food waste. Anaerobic composting creates a highly acidic environment much like a human stomach inside whatever bin or bag is holding the compost.

“Once food waste has been fully fermented, it can be added to an aerobic composting system to fully degrade.” One can add the bokashi compost to be used with both traditional and vermicomposting methods, once the fermented bokashi has finished. “Bokashi-treated waste can be combined with “browns” for traditional composting, or added to a worm bin in the same manner as regular food waste. Additionally, using bokashi provides an additional and very low-maintenance composting; the fermented waste can be “trenched” (buried and covered with 12–18 inches of the excavated soil) where it can decompose and enrich the soil”, where the oxygen in the soil also aids the decomposition process.
Most Bokashi sites state that the inoculant (usually called EM or Effective Micro-organism) was discovered or developed by Dr. Teuro Higa. In Asian countries, including Korea, deliberate collection and culturing of naturally occurring soil microorganisms has been common agricultural practice for centuries. While there’s a huge body of independent scientific work establishing the many virtues of both regular compost and of vermicompost, no such body of work yet exists for Bokashi. Bokashi is the new kid on the home composting block.
Now let's go back into the intentions and goals of Martin Brink's Planet Guardian declaration,
All participating communities are empowered and uplifted, and some indirectly from an influx of money
into the broader community.
No more mess in the streets, family violence will be reduced over time, etc.
Additionally, the concepts of the “here and there” communities, (being formal/informal suburbs or middle
class and surrounding challenged communities) are interchangeable.
The Planet Guardian membership program makes it possible to:
• Help those who are too busy to make a difference, without directly getting involved.
• Safely and remotely clean up the townships and challenged communities, by buying plastic etc from
the self-employed sorters at the Guardian sorting facilities, at market-related rates.
• Use Citizens from within the community to make the collections, and be the eyes of the Police
• Access Guardian approved “safe zones”, including for education/fun talks and relaxing; child
day/night-care; “drop off before and collect after” school facilities; dog socializing/day/night care
facilities; cat socializing/day/night care facilities. No one needs to be alone anymore, not even the
Guardian’s animals, and “date night” can again be a part of the Guardian parent’s vocabulary.
• Access Members discount benefits, including from participating shops and Guardian-approved service
providers; educational nurseries and urban farms.
• Access Vetted people from within the community as handymen, gardeners and domestic, etc.
• Access to roadworthy vehicles after having been used in the Guardian program that will teach women,
and men, how to care for their vehicles; basic panel beating, service the engine, fix punctures and
change the tyres, etc. (The stuff our parents taught us, with a little extra professional supervision.)
• Access to pro-active Guardian insurance, where for a monthly flat fee, Guardian-approved and
supervised local contractors will respond quickly and professionally, be it medical, plumber,
electrician, lawyer or security. Must be a Guardian for at least 3 months before use.
Guardian pays the call-out fees and guarantees the quality of the service and service provider.
In the interests of justice, Guardian will also litigate on behalf of the offended party in a small claims
court, be it a Guardian-approved service provider and business member or a Guardian private
member.
• The public has nothing directly to do with any Guardian program or Member, and the inverse.
There are different levels and types of membership.
For instance,
Conversion rate,
Guardian pro-active insurance: R200/month – only claim after 3 months
Covers call-out fees and guarantee the quality of service, including legal protection in a small claims court.
Ancillary services:
There are additional monthly fees to access specific yet ancillary programs which are outsourced to, or
provided by, professionals, vetted and paid by the Guardians. These programs might have their duties.
For example, to give the dogs and their “owners” the best life possible, they need stability and must be
treated the same way at home, so we provide online and real-time classes for the owners.
Lectures/classes which are limited to 10 people and up to 3 hours at a time, may be on any subject in which
there is interest is attended at R250/person, of which the lecturer receives R105 and the venue R70.
Urban farming lectures, where people are taught how to use the urban farm table gardens, are discounted
against the cost of the tables, but only if the table is ordered from the venue.
Venue: educational, nurseries and safe-spaces
Guardian repaired and maintained homes/factories/community facilities etc at which table gardens, solar
cookers, desiccators and purifiers, and much more, can be found.
Lessons and programs provided may be done personally or digitally; the venues are open to hiring to share,
inform, and relax amongst the Guardian community away from the challenges of those of limited vision.
Up to 5 hens may be kept on a property, hopefully for eggs, without a permit.

Bokashi Represents The Buddhist “Mottanai” Concept
Bokashi’s discovery in Japan is not surprising given the deep importance of sustainability in Japanese culture. In Japanese culture, there is a Buddhist concept called “Mottanai” that is meant to communicate the value of each item and the anguish over wasting that item’s potential.
