I have no idea, I find the Google search integrated in Steemit not good at all. Searching for older post is difficult. You could generate a post every day with all the gig posts in it, should be a bot doing it. That will prevent older posts getting lost. To be honest, for a gig service to really become succesful, the user experience needs to be designed for that purpose incl the UI; but we are not at that point yet. So yes, the workaround with the daily all-gigs-on-the-platform may be an option to look into.
