#growth-ideas: Two potential KILLER APPLICATIONS for Steemit. "I think we're going to need a bigger boat..!!"
KILLER APPLICATIONS
Readers of my Blog will be aware that I have talked about a couple of potential Killer Applications for STEEMIT and one has the potential to have already surfaced.
KILLER APPLICATION No.1
Today WIKIPEDIA announced that they are researching the possibilities of migrating their entire volume of information onto a System that would allow: Verification, Validation and Evaluation of the accuracy of the data shared by WIKIPEDIA.
So my first and obvious proposed Killer Application that I am now happy to share is, what would happen if all the information on WIKIPEDIA was processed on the STEEMIT BLOCKCHAIN?
KILLER APPLICATION No.2
Not so obvious as the first, but the second Killer Application may well come a great surprise to many..!!
My second Killer Application would be, what would happen if all the information on WIKILEAKS was processed on the STEEMIT BLOCKCHAIN?
I think I will just leave these here for people to grasp the scale of either one, or better still, if both were processed on the STEEMIT BLOCKCHAIN?
"I think we're going to need a bigger boat..!!"
Thanks for reading.

Whoa...!
This is not something I often say, but "I just got chills!"
That would be absolutely huge, although I'm curious to see if Wikipedia will insist on "doing it themselves" or partnering with someone outside the organization... there's a reason the world's 5th busiest web site is run by only 100 people, much of which centers on a "bare-bones we do it ourselves, our way" attitude. And yet? It's all user-generated content, just like Steemit... so it certainly makes sense on a conceptual level.
So are you up for making the pitch to Jimmy Wales & co?
I would make the pitch to anyone. Wikipedia could start sending their stuff to Steemit tomorrow and proof would be known within days. You wouldn't need a pitch. Stephen
hello @stephenkendal
I think that the steem Blockchain would be able the volume of information on Wikipedia, it is a very tantalizing prospect, one that would make waves if achieved.
Thanks for sharing your ideas with us.
You are very welcome. Most brilliant ideas are actually the most simplest once they are suggested. Happy to share it and if it did happen Steemit wouldn't be $50m for long..!! Stephen
If Wikipedia goes with Steemit it would be a nice setup for Wikipedia Vs Lunyr ! bring it on please!
A tie-up with Wikipedia would be springboard for STEEMIT and STEEM. A real Game Changer. Stephen
