Martin Griffiths is the United Nations ambassador to Yemen
Martin Griffiths, Britain's new peace ambassador in Yemen, is the UN peace ambassador. He is Executive Director of the European Institute of Peace based in Brussels.

In one of his letters, Gutierrez writes, Griffiths has many experiences in discussions on conflict resolution and mediation.
Griffith Mauritanian will succeed Oud Sheikh Ahmed. Last month, he announced last month that he did not want to remain as Yemen's ambassador after the expiry of his contract.
Sheikh Ahmed joined the UN envoy in Yemen in April 2015. They have virtually failed to bring progress to diplomatic efforts to resolve the country's conflict.
The United Nations says that the war-torn Yemen needs a million to seven million people's food aid because of the deadly humanitarian crisis. This number is about 60 percent of the country's population. About 70 million of them are in danger of famine.
