In regards to the greylist and the automation of the removal of greylisted projects from the whitelist. Could this lead to the decentralisation of the whitelisting and de-whitelisting process through polls and such?

It sure could! It could either be implemented centralized first, then automated later, or if we have someone who wants to do the work, we could make it an entirely automated process from the start.
