Is a concept enough and better than an actual working platform?
There has been much hype around distributed computing and where blockchains come in the picture, everyone loves blockchains and distributed computing. But everyone seems to be lacking the way of actually figureing out how to manage one.
Recent Hypes on Distributed Computing
In the recent times there has been much hype around projects like Golem and iEx.ec. Projects that has no working platform, doesn't reward anything and doesn't do anything like distributed computing as of today. They go all out banging on their drums screaming that they have "the next big thing just around the corner". But they are just a little to late for the party.
Gridcoin does all this today, with a 20+ Years open-source platform!

Reason for the article
The reason I wrote this post was because of Coin Telegraph making another, very inaccurate, post about Distributed Computing and making claims that Golem, iEx etc and that blockchain in itself is the solution.
Tired of ICO and the lack of substantial products
So many people write about how they are scammed out of ICO releases and promises of great products to come soon. These are no other than that!

Well done Jon Buck (author on cointelegraph) you put the absolute minimum effort into that article.
I see newbie efforts on steemit that have much deeper understanding of subject matter, and attention to detail.

It is one of the few coins that rises in price even after 2-3 years. And quite a bit this year!
