Goals: Our goal is to persuade scientists to use this kind of computations in their research and to assist them in preparing BOINC applications. We hope that scientific applications from various fields will be attractive to many current and future BOINC community volunteers and this will allow us to accumulate enough computing resources to achieve significant (unachievable otherwise) results.
We are developing different algorithms for the solution of discrete global optimization problem arising in their research.

Is the project backed by a company?
Project server is located at university computer center. However, we don’t have assigned admins to lookup after it. University pays for the electricity.

Yes. Results obtained with the current application are published in scientific article (published online in Journal of Supercomputing). These results can be verified using algorithms described in the article.

Does the project website provide SSL encryption (for the login page)?

Will the project have sufficient work units for team Gridcoin to all participate in the project? More than a month of inactivity will lead to invalidation of whitelist status.

How can I vote?

Windows users:

• If your wallet is encrypted, fully unlock the wallet (not just for 'staking only').
• Click "Advanced", then click "Voting" to launch the voting menu.
• Right-click on "Should VGTU be added to the whitelist?"
• Click "vote".

• Navigate to the Debug Console (Help - Debug Window - Console (tab) )
• Enter one of the following commands:
• Vote to add VGTU to the whitelist: execute vote add_vgtu_to_whitelist yes
