The results will be sent to the main admin of the Mersenne CRUS project and going into their stats. They combine the power of sieving and testing for BOINC or local testing.

Does the project website provide SSL encryption (for the login page)?
No, not planned.
(Note, after communicating with admin, they're now planning on implementing SSL. No target date given, so keep that in mind)
