I want to share with all of Steemit a list of active contest that I have taken the time to seek out but first, I want to tell you exactly why I did this...

I'm a little stuck here on Steemit at the moment. The direction that I am supposed to go has yet to clearly come to me. I came to spread motivation and inspiration, that has been a little hard with the topics that I enjoy discussing. I have a goal to share knowledge to Steemit users on ways that they can become successful through manifesting their desires. Obviously, I need to search out a specific crowd of people to be successful in doing so. Since this is going to take some time, this is the part where I am stuck. What am I supposed to do while I am searching for these humans that have an open mind, body and soul that will listen to me? I am supposed to do what every single other Steemian does, keep on keeping on! Yesterday I went to @terminallyill for advice, I was so excited when he told me about @greetersguild. He mentioned to me that since I am so passionate about spreading motivation, I should think about becoming a greeter volunteer as well as a member of #newbieresteemday and start with helping the new users here on Steemit.

You need to understand that Steemit isn't a place to come and get rich quick. It is a wonderful place to be though. I want to help break down what @greetersguild is talking about when they say learn-earn-grow.

LEARN

Knowledge will always be power, we must always start there. Joining Steemit with no knowledge of what the platform is about, could possibly make your time here very difficult. That is where the Greeter Volunteers come into play. The volunteers will seek out newbies, greet them and provide them with the knowledge that they need to hopefully help them make it here on Steemit.

That knowledge will come in many forms, such as :

• Motivation
• Encouragement
• Support
• Guidance
• Tips and Tricks

...and so much more!

EARN - GROW

Once we have shared knowledge with the new Steemains, they are ready to starting earning. Hopefully, those earnings come at a faster pace for them after the volunteer has taken them under their wing. Once you start earning, you start growing. The Greeter Volunteers will be there to support those that are new to the platform, this includes giving them encouragement through those tough times when it feels like those small earnings will never help them grow. I think that what @greetersguild has started here is brilliant. Learn-Earn-Grow, that is something that even I will tell myself when I need a reminder to keep going.

@greetersguild and the greeter volunteers will be there to help stop Steemians from giving up, it is also a great way to boost their confidence. This is not just beneficial for those new to the platform. When we help others here on Steemit and out in the real world, it also boost our confidence, it makes us feel happy and satisfied that we have done a really good thing, or at least it should.

This was my quick rundown on what I got out of this initiative. Follow @greetersguild so you can be sure that you gain more information about them, you can watch this amazing initiative grow and even be a part of it!

What does a list of contest have anything to do with this?

I would like to become a Greeter Volunteer, this will be my way to help those here on Steemit to learn, earn and grow. If you had the chance to check out Magical Monday, you will have seen that I want to give back to the entire community while I am also shining the spotlight on those that are new here. What I have done here today has the potential to benefit every Steemian. Depending on the contest, they are a good way to gain exposure. When we seek out the right ones, we are able to share our work that we feel should be seen. Some of the contest are a great motivational tool for us to write a really quality post to submit. Communication is key here on Steemit, contest are a wonderful way to engage with others and get to know them. Most importantly for what I am discussing here today, contest are a great way to learn, earn and grow. Even the smallest win can boost the confidence of a person, it could also really help the new users with powering up.

How will I make sure that this list of contest will help new users?

Here is my plan - every Monday when Magical Monday goes live, I have given every Steemian the chance to gain exposure with their contest. In the comments a person can drop a link to their contest or one that they enjoy. On Tuesdays, I will have a seperate master post for the sole purpose of featuring those contest along with any that I come across. I will be working to get them out mainly to new users as part of being a greeter volunteer but of course out to all of Steemit as it can benefit all of us.

This is what I will do- after I write the master contest post, I will spend time each day in the #introduceyourself tag seeking out users that have the potential to continue providing quality content. I will meet and greet as many new users as I can. I will start by welcoming them to Steemit, engaging in their post, leaving a tip and then sharing the link to the contest so that they can have the fair chance to have fun and learn,earn and grow at hopefully a quicker pace.

I don't know, that was just practice but hopefully you get the point. The master post on Tuesdays will not be this long but I wanted to really explain what I am doing and why I am doing this. I do want everyone to remember that is perfectly okay if we don't win a contest. It is not all about the prize being given away, it is about meeting new people and most importantly it is about how to Learn-Earn-Grow!
