As long as i can remember my young self i wanted to grow up, do grown up things and be in general independent. My grandparents used to say that you will wish being a kid would never end. At the time i wasn't able to understand what they ment and thought that it wasn't true or it would ever be true.

Long story short, having gone through the years i look back and think that my grandparents were right in so many ways with that statement. As a kid you have the freedom do what interest you at anytime, there are no adult stuff only endless fun.

Of course time passes and along go the years, school, college and finding a job. All are great things and provide you with skills and information about yourself.
But as you grow old choosing specific paths is necessary and you lose the freedom to change where you want to devote your intrests. The stakes become so high of doing something different from what you chose that the fear of losing what you already have accomplished prevents you from taking action.

I heard recently a saying that really stuck with me, it went like this:
"Life is like a table full of 1p delicious cakes, as long as you haven't picked a cake you have 10 cakes but when you actually pick one, you only have 1 cake.

I find that it is actually somehow repeatable!

Please share your thoughts, i would love to hear them!
