Strong earthquake on Turkey's west coast: At least two dead and 200 injured
A 6.7-degree earthquake produced Friday in the Aegean Sea, near the western coast of Turkey, killed two people, Reuters and the US Geophysical Institute (USGS) reported.
The epicenter of the earthquake was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers and only 12 kilometers from the nearest town on the western coast of Turkey, Bodrum, a popular resort for tourists with a population of over 36,000 people. The earthquake was also felt in the Greek island of Kos, another major tourist center.
